Financial Planning Week is an annual campaign run by the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) to promote financial advice in the community.
As part of the campaign, the FPA will again be offering ‘Ask an Expert’; an online question and answer service to give Australians an insight into how financial planning can benefit them. Consumers are invited to submit their questions about financial planning to a panel of experts who will respond via email. Questions will be randomly assigned to experts who have volunteered for the service and who meet certain competency standards.
The FPA will be displaying questions and answers for all to see on their website for the first time in 2012 (in previous years questions and answers were not made public).
Additionally, the FPA will be archiving all questions and answers to form an online library of information for consumers to access. This will be updated after Financial Planning Week each year.
The Ask an Expert service is a great way for consumers to gain an understanding of how financial planning relates to their situation and how it can assist them. The service also provides Australians the opportunity to have their questions answered by financial planning experts.
